The 13x4 measurement is the lace area: 13 inches across the front hairline from ear to ear and 4 inches back from the hairline. That gives a natural-looking hairline and room for a middle, side or free part within the lace, which makes 13x4 a practical core size to stock for salons and wig resellers.

13x4 or 13x6
