How to buy U part wigs wholesale

A U part wig has a U-shaped opening at the top of the cap. The client's own hair is left out through the opening and blended over the wig, so the part and hairline are their own. There's no lace to cut or tint, and the unit is held with clips and an adjustable strap instead of glue.

Match the texture to the leave-out

Because the client's hair shows at the part, the wig's texture has to blend with their leave-out once it's styled. We carry 14 textures: straight, yaki straight, kinky straight, body wave, natural wave, beach wave, Latin wave, deep wave, messy curl, Italian curl, deep curly, tight curl, kinky curly and afro kinky curly. Yaki straight and kinky straight blend well with relaxed or pressed hair; kinky curly and afro kinky curly suit natural hair worn curly.

Length and density

Every U part wig comes in 10" to 30" and in 130%, 150% or 180% density. 130% reads natural and is the easiest to blend with fine leave-out; 180% is for clients who want volume.

U part, V part or headband?

A V part wig has a smaller V-shaped opening, so less of the client's hair needs to be left out. A headband wig needs no leave-out at all. Client handoff

The leave-out takes the heat and daily styling, so advise clients to use a heat protectant, keep that section moisturized, and give it a break between U part installs.
