When stylists ask for kinky hair, they usually mean one of two textures. Kinky curly, on this page, is a tight, springy curl that blends with 3C to 4A natural hair for wash-and-go looks, twist-outs and full curly installs. Kinky straight hair is the other: a straight texture that matches blown-out natural hair. Everything here is 100% human hair.

Kinky curly bundles

Kinky curly bundles come in virgin and raw grades. Virgin kinky curly runs 10" to 30" and can be lifted to a #27. Raw kinky curly runs 12" to 28" and can be lifted to a #613. Each bundle is 100 grams on a machine double-stitched weft. Kinky curly bulk human braiding hair comes in 16" to 24" in virgin and raw.

Closures and frontals

Kinky curly closures come in 2x6, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7, in HD or transparent lace, with raw options in 4x4 and 5x5. Kinky curly frontals come in 13x4 transparent, raw 13x4 transparent and 13x6 transparent.

Kinky curly wigs

Kinky curly wigs include 13x4 transparent lace front wigs in natural and brown, a 5x5 HD closure wig with dark highlights, a 2x6 HD closure glueless wig, and U-part, V-part and headband wigs. Densities run from 130% to 180% depending on the style. U-part and V-part wigs let a client leave out some of their own hair to blend.

Clip-ins, tape-ins and ponytails

For added volume without a full install, kinky curly clip-ins come in 10" to 30" in 120-gram or 160-gram sets. Kinky curly tape-ins come in 16" to 26", and the kinky curly ponytail comes in 10" to 30".

Length and care

Kinky curly hair shrinks when it dries, so order a longer length than the finished look your client wants. At handoff, tell clients to define curls with water and a mousse or leave-in and detangle with their fingers. To choose between the two kinky textures, read kinky straight vs. kinky curly.
